Product Description

The Gold Match .223 / 5.56 full length sizing die restores brass to true SAAMI specification from the case head to the neck. Simple operation. Easily set shoulder bump from zero to -.005 with a turn of the die.

Expect reliable feeding, proper shoulder bump, uniform neck tension and consistent chamber fit. Full length sizing is recommended for all rifle cases. Neck sizing can lead to overexpanded cases and weakened brass. 

Mirror Bore Finish. Precision CNC machined from high grade steel for perfect vertical alignment. Single point cut finish and extremely smooth bore (5 bore finish) at 60 Rockwell hardness.

Drop-In Mandrel Expander Shaft. The .223 rem mandrel shaft is Swiss-machined, heat treated to 50 Rockwell. The mandrel expander shaft ensures uniform and consistent case mouth expansion for proper bullet seating.

The mandrel shaft sits concentrically inside the die bore with three points of contact. The first modular die in the reloading industry that ensures lockup with the cap.

The threads inside the shaft will accept either a Mighty Armory decapping pin or a pointer. The pointer is used in place of the decapping pin to protect the shaft threads and acts as a guide when sizing the case.

Effortless sizing and decapping. Spring action of the primer flicker cap prevents primer pullback and press chute jams. The die will easily decap and resize over a million cycles.

Lube Recommendations

For Single Stage or Turret Presses: Use Imperial Sizing Wax.

For Progressive Presses: Use PEG75 lanolin spray for smooth, high-volume operation.

Yes. The die is engineered to properly full length size both .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO cases to SAAMI-spec geometry.

Q: Is this a true full length sizing die?
Yes. It sizes the case head, shoulder, and neck to restore fired brass to proper dimensions for reliable chambering.

Q: How much shoulder bump can I set?
You can adjust shoulder bump from zero to approximately -.005” by turning the die up or down in your press.

Q: Is full length sizing necessary?
Full length sizing is strongly recommended to bring the case back to SAAMI dimensions to ensure reliable feeding and extraction.

Instructions

Step 1: Clean the die bore before use. First with alcohol on a q-tip or paper towel. Then dry with a q-tip or paper towel.

Step 2: If sizing on a single stage or turret press, lube cases with imperial wax. If sizing on an autoprogressive press, use 6oz 91% alcohol and 1oz PEG75 lanolin. Spray cases, mix and let dry for 30 minutes.

Step 3: Turn the die into your press tool head until the mouth makes contact with your plate or shell holder. If you want to lengthen your headspace back the die out.

Step 4: Size a case and check your headspace length. If you want it deeper then turn the die down slightly and size the case.

Step 5: Once you find the sweet spot and you achieve the desired headspace for your chamber then lock the die into place.
