The Mighty Armory PUA Decapping Die is a universal decapping die recommended for use on all single stage and turret presses.

Mighty Armory’s innovative decapping die designs utilize a spring-loaded primer flicker. The cap and spring spring design allows upward shaft movement before contacting a stop. The rebound of the spring forces the shaft down and flicks the primer off the pin, shooting it through the press funnel and eliminating primer pullback. 

100% precision CNC machined with heat treated and tempered tool steel shaft and pins.

The included .058 pins is primarily for decapping Lapua, Peterson brass and some foreign cases. It is important to know the size of your case flash hole diameter when selecting your Mighty Armory Universal Decapping Die.

Perfect vertical alignment.

The Mighty Armory PUA Decapping die will decap small flash hole case sizes. Will deprime .380 ACP cases up to 3" long cases and .595 wide, such as a .338 Lapua case.

Mighty Armory reloading dies are designed to be ultra tough with comprehensive, ease of use and tool-free assembly. Will easily decap any boxer primed, crimped military case.

The PUA decapping die comes with two (2) M2 .058 decapping pins, for small case sizes. Toughest in the industry. The Mighty Armory M2 pins have a 1,000 pound bend rate. No more interrupted loading days. 

Magnum vs PUA Decapping Dies:

The difference between the PUA Decapping Die and the Magnum Decapping Die is the diameter of the M2 pin. 

The Mighty Armory PUA Decapping Die bore is .600 diameter and includes two (2) M2 decapping pins at .058 diameter, needed for lapua brass, peterson brass, some foreign brass, and possibly alpha brass.

The Magnum Decapping Die bore is .550 diameter and includes two (2) M2 decapping pins at .078 diameter, needed for all standard and military size flash holes.

Exchangeable pin:

Mighty Armory M2 decapping pins can be exchanged on the depriming shaft. To decap large or standard profile flash hole cases you will need the .078 M2 decapping pin. Simply swap the pin on the shaft and a touch of purple Vibra-Tite on the threads and you're ready to decap.

    1. How do I decap cases with small flash holes?

    Some of the European brass, for example, Lapua or US-made Peterson and alpha brass have small flash holes spec’d at 0.060. The Mighty Armory M2 steel .058 pin is the choice to make when decapping this brass. The Mighty Armory PUA Decapping Die is highly recommended.

    2. What is the difference between the Magnum and PUA decapping dies?

    The Magnum, & PUA decapping dies are both universal and spring operated by using a primer flicker cap and spring design. The difference between the two is the pin sizes. The Magnum includes two .078 diameter M2 steel pins, while the PUA includes two .058 diameter M2 steel pins.

    Mighty Armory's M2 steel pins are available separately and can be swapped among all of the decapping dies.

    Step 1. Screw pin into the shaft using purple vibra-TITE 111 on the threads. This will prevent the pin from backing out of the shaft, which can cause problems. Use a 3/16" wrench to hold the flats of the shaft and snug the pin into place. Vice it with rubber grips to prevent scarring of the shaft. Do not overtighten the pin into the shaft – just snug it. The vibraTITE will do the rest.

    Step 2. Drop the shaft and pin into the die body. Drop the spring into the cap well.

    Step 3. Tighten the cap into the cap well with the spring. Strongly hand-tighten the cap against the o-ring. Then back out the cap ¼ turn. This will allow the flicker spring action to take place.

    Step 4. Depending on your press, lower the tool head or raise the ram.

    Step 5. Turn the die down into the tool head until the mouth of the die contacts the shell plate or shell holder. Now back your die out ¼ to ½ of a turn.

    Step 6. Turn the locknut down and lock it into place.

    When you decap a case, you will know you have it set up correctly when you hear the FLICK or the SNAP of the pin flicking the primer out of the flash hole. No more primer pull-back and no more jammed primer shoots!
